Investing in the racing industry is not very different to investing in the share market - in both cases knowledge and professionalism are the essential components for success. In fact, in both industries it is often the individual's or group's expertise that will turn a "gamble" into a sound investment decision. The real difference between the two is that returns from racing can be significantly better than the share market and less volatile - and that can make Horse & Jockey a logical and profitable additional income source. ![]() The Horse & Jockey syndicate is based on the principle that placing just 2 to 3 well thought out bets per week will bring greater rewards than a haphazard multi-bet approach. Professional punters bet no more than 5-6 races per week and stick rigidly to a startup plan that usually invests just 3-5% of their bank per bet. Members of the syndicate will need no training and will not have to make any decisions on their own. You will be given specific investment instructions on a daily basis - which horse, which race, how much to bet and when to bet. We can even arrange access to a bookmaker if required. The team at Horse & Jockey include some of Australia’s leading professional punters, track informants, analysts and former Champion Jockey Simon Marshall - providing the expert knowledge required to make an informed investment in the racing industry. Horse & Jockey Membership will be strictly limited ... so if the opportunity outlined in this brochure interests you, call us immediately to find out more and to secure your place in this exceptional investment. ![]()
More than ever before, computer technology is allowing us to access enormous amounts of data about the racing industry - offering us even greater opportunities to determine the probability of each horse's performance and each race outcome. And once all this data is considered, an investment strategy is formulated.
Each star indicates a set amount based on the individuals starting bank. The maximum rating will be 5 stars.

In a career limited by his size, Simon Marshall rose to the top of the game achieving a metropolitan win rate of 28.6% - the highest of any jockey in recent history. He won 15 Group 1 races and rode champions such as Super Impose, Better Loosen up, Naturalism, Durbridge, Hurricane Sky and Hareeba. Unfortunately, Simon’s battle with weight became unwinnable despite the help of former World Boxing Champion Jeff Fenech who deemed Simon “a great jockey and a great Australian”. Even that was not enough and eventually Simon’s riding career ended. Despite the weight problems, Simon rode over 700 winners, with 68 being stakes races on metropolitan tracks. Both Gai Waterhouse and Lee Freedman have acknowledged that Simon had no peer as a tactician in weight-for-age races. One of the greatest factors in Simon’s racing success was his ability to “know the horse” and “read a race” - skills which he now applies equally successfully to punting. In fact, Simon’s skills and extensive knowledge of the industry have been recognised by the likes of Lee Freedman, Jack Denham, Bart Cummings and Channel 9 in Melbourne where he was a regular analyst on the Saturday Racing Show. And it is this knowledge and expertise, drawn from years of experience, that the Horse & Jockey Syndicate “taps” to provides a sound basis for your racing investment.
![]() The Racing Industry can provide tax-effective returns. Generally, profits received from TAB related investments are are deemed to be tax exempt by the taxation Department and that can make your membership in Horse & Jockey a particularly attractive investment. The exception to this rule is when your primary source of income is derived from profits made from the TAB and you are deemed to be a professional punter. It is advisable to consult your financial adviser or accountant for clarification of your tax position. You will be investing in one of Australia’s fastest growing industries. The TAB turnover last year topped $10 billion and has been increasing every year with no indication that this will change in the near future. And, while other alternative investments, such as the share market, are often at the mercy of outside forces, the racing industry represents a “closed-environment” opportunity for those with the correct knowledge and expertise. So the racing industry represents one of the Australia’s best opportunities to generate highly profitable and consistent returns on your investment.
